Come as you are!
Expect a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere where you can be yourself, whether you choose to dress up or dress casual.
We are thrilled that you are interested in Bellevue Community Church! Sometimes attending a new church can be a daunting experience. Our goal is to help you feel welcomed and right at home! Below are the answers to a few frequently asked questions.
WHAT IS THE SUNDAY SERVICE LIKE? It is our desire to glorify God and we invite you to worship with us. We want you to feel comfortable and at peace during our service. Feel free to wear whatever you want! Our worship style is a contemporary blend of new songs and classic hymns, followed by a message from the Bible.
ARE THE FACILITIES HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE? Yes! The building is equipped with a ramp-entry as well as a lower-level entrance directly from the parking lot.
IS THERE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE? (Suspended during COVID-19) Every week the nursery is available during the worship service for children ages three and under. Older children (ages four through 4th grade) are invited to participate in the music portion of the service before being excused to attend Children's Church. Our ministry team engages the children with God's Word through singing, crafts, prayer, and stories. A snack is provided so please alert the ministry team to any food allergies.
AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE MONEY DURING THE OFFERING? During the service, there is a time to worship the Lord through the giving of tithes and offerings. As our guest, we do not want you to feel obligated to give when the offering plates are passed.
WHERE DO I START? 1) A visit with the pastor to discuss who we are as a church and to get acquainted 2) If you desire to learn more, you will be invited to join the class "Introduction to Bellevue Community Church" and discover what it means to become a partner with our church 3) Find a ministry: As you become part of Bellevue Community Church, we encourage you to participate in a ministry that is compatible with your passion and gifts
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Bellevue Community Church is a local congregation of the Christian and Missionary Alliance
OUR MISSION: to engage the Word, relationships, and the world for Christ
Bible - the power of the Bible to transform my everyday life
Prayer - expectant fervent prayer that anticipates God's answer
Fellowship - connecting with and loving our church family throughout the week
Evangelism - intentionally moving people one step closer to Christ with each encounter
Missions - giving those who have never heard the Gospel the opportunity to hear and make a decision for Christ
Stewardship - giving God priority in the use of the resources (time, talent, and money) He has given to us
MEET THE PASTOR
Fred Coleman has been the pastor of Bellevue Community Church since 2014. Previously, he and his wife Pixie served in ministry for over 30 years with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Wisconsin, Florida, and the Philippines.
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
Nursery - The nursery offers childcare during the Sunday morning worship service at 10:00am for children ages three and under.
Children's Church - Children ages 4 through 4th grade are encouraged to participate in Children's Church downstairs following the music portion of the Sunday morning worship service. They will enjoy learning God's Word through hands-on, creative activities from age-appropriate lesson plans with their peers!
Youth Group - Students in grades 7-12 are encouraged to participate in Wednesday night Youth Group, meeting at the church from 6:30-8:00. Students are welcomed into a friendly environment where they can connect with others, enjoy fun games and activities, and learn about God's Word in its relevance to our daily lives.
Young Professionals Group - High School graduates and 20-somethings are invited to connect with each other in our young adults group. Monthly activities and events are offered to empower post-grads to invest in building authentic friendships in the Body of Christ.
Small Groups are seasonally offered at Bellevue Community Church, through which members are encouraged to participate in community with one another, meeting in each other's homes for fellowship.
Various men's and women's Bible study groups meet throughout the week. We encourage members and visitors who want to know more about God's Word to explore our Bible Study options, whether a study group or one-on-one discipleship.
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works
